02Current CPR and First Aid
You need both current at enrollment and kept current after. What counts and where the certificates go.
03The insurance rule that trips people up
The state requires general liability insurance. A professional liability policy doesn't meet the requirement, even though it sounds like the right one.
04Get your NPI
The application asks for it. Where to apply and which taxonomy code fits your tier.
05Trading Partner Account and the Medicaid application
Create the account, then submit the application with the provider agreement, W-9, EFT agreement, your clearance and your insurance. An unsubmitted application expires after 14 days, so have everything ready first.
06Send your degree, hours and competency proof
The Children's DD program reviews your education, supervised hours, competency and CPR/First Aid separately from the application.
07Register with Telligen
Every CHIS service needs prior authorization, and that runs through Telligen's provider portal.
